Description

Laptop users would like to turn off the Mouse Touchpad. There is always a problem that you want to restart. Laptop keyboards and writers can be annoying. Here are six ways you can turn the Touchpad on and off.

Method 1 For Windows 10 User Only
Windows 10 is an easy way for Windows 10 users to go to Start Button -> Settings -> Devices -> Touchpad -> Turn on or Turn Off.

Method # 2 Using Fn Key
Touching fn keys when working with fn key adjustments often results in misty-sound effects when the touchpad is dimmed. Then press the Fn key and press any function key (F1, F2, F3, …, F12). On some machines it works well with Fn + F7. The key is different depending on the type of device. You can try the following keys on Lenovo, Dell, HP, Toshiba, Acer and Asus Laptops.

Fn + F6
Fn + F9
Fn + F12
Fn + F5

Method 3: Mouse Properties
Sometimes Touchpad is not enabled when the Device Manager is disabled.
Control Pannel -> Device Manager
Or
Login to Device Manager with Windows + R -> main.msc -> Ok.

In Device Manager, open Mice and other pointing device by double clicking on it. Right-click on your device and go to Mouse Properties. (Touchpad names may vary depending on the type of laptop, for example with names like Dell TouchPad, Lenovo TouchPad, and Synaptics.)
Or Window + R -> main.cpl -> OK. When the box is down, enter Device Settings. Select your Device Name Click Enable and OK.

Step 4: Update or Roll Back the Touchpad Driver.
Enter Device Manager and right-click on your Touchpad. Enable your Touchpad and update driver. If the update fails, you can roll back to the previous driver. Sometimes Touchpad doesn’t need to be updated.

You can use Driver Easy Software to easily update other drivers, not just on the Touchpad Driver. Download the link below.

After the software has finished scanning, read the scan. Drivers will need to get the update needed on your machine. Optional Download

Touchpad disables the BIOS after updating the computer firmware. To check this, simply press Delete or F2 at the start of the computer and enter BIOS. Enable Then exit with Save Changes and Exit.

Step 7: Disable the Tablet PC Input Service
If your computer is a Windows 10 touch screen, there is a Tablet PC Input Service that can interrupt the touchpad. It doesn’t matter if you don’t use that service.

f you want to use Touch Screen Mode and Touchpad Mode every time, you’ll need to switch to Touch Screen Mode. To Disable / Enable the Tablet Input Service, click Windows + R -> service.msc -> Ok and enter the Windows Task Manager. Or right-click on the Taskbar, and then click on the Start Task Manager. Open the Service tab and right-click on TabletInputService and enable / Disable.
